One of my favorites rooms in our home is the small sunroom, off one of the bedrooms upstairs. I immediately fell in love with all of the windows & have been working on creating the perfect place for me to work in the comfort of my own home. I still have some pieces to add, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share my oasis.
To start off, this is an original door and brings so much character to the space. I have been playing with the idea of frosting it & adding a lawrence + grace decal. Any suggestions on this?
The first thing you see once you enter the space, is the “Everly” settee. Honeydew offers a larger version of this settee, named the “Arlynn” sofa. Many of you have seen (or even used) the “Arlynn” sofa during a shoot or event. She is Arlynn’s younger cousin, Everly. <3 I added some fun pillows & the incredible pouf that my husband surprised me with for Christmas. On the floor is a 5X7 rug with a large pattern to offset the many patterns in the pouf.
The old floor lamp brings an industrial feel to the space, while the gorgeous wooden lamp (that my Papa MADE for me) continues the rustic refined look that I love.
The newest addition? This cool shelf that we placed across the three windows. My old, vintage cameras quickly found a home there, but I am excited to try my hand in caring for some plants & adding them to the shelf. Any suggestions on (EASY to take care of) plants? I’d like at least three, mainly green, watering once -a- week kind of maintenance. haha.
Moving over to the desk area. My $4 steal from a yard sale years ago, this old wooden desk has done me great. I try to keep it as clean as possible, but any creative out there knows that is easier said than done! Ha! I juggled the idea of painting the desk, but never got around to it. Currently the natural wooden feel is fine by me!
To complete the tour is the wall heading back out the door. I created the macrame for my holiday mini sessions & thought it added some texture and charm to this space. Above the door is another Christmas present from Gabe (he did an incredible job this year) having this sign engraved for me to start my business.
What is your favorite part of my office?
Any plant suggestions?
